Abstract

Forecasting is a key element of the process of decision making. Predicting the behaviour of financial markets is in the center of research of academic, financial and governmental institutions and private investors. The development of computer technologies leads to a new class of intelligent forecasting methods – the methods of soft computing.

This article describes a hybrid model, based on the techniques of fuzzy logic and genetic algorithms, which optimizes the parameters of the fuzzy system FSSAM.
