DEVELOPMENT OF VIRTUAL EXPOSITION WITH ICONS FROM REGIONAL HISTORICAL MUSEUM – BURGAS COLLECTION

Abstract

Article describes the project framework relating to the development of digital exposition of icons from the collection of Regional Historical Museum – Burgas. This development aims at adequate and complex presenting, documenting, cataloging and preserving of icons from the museum's collection through the use of modern technologies. Content consists of description the main activities and requirements related to the development of digital exhibition of such unique cultural artifacts in terms of representation of cultural and historical content to the globally dispersed users in a way, which stimulates research and intercultural dialogue at all levels. There is also a brief description of conceptual model for digital presenting of iconographic objects.
