Abstract

In the absence of a system for continuous monitoring the reliability data do not contain information about the exact time of occurrence of failures. Such data are interval (grouped) and censored. In these cases, problems arise in the application of mathematical apparatus. It is insufficient the accuracy of the results obtained in the evaluation of the parameters of the distribution laws of time to failure. While for censored and exact data there is a number of works and studies, the interval data are less common in literature. In this paper we tested and analyzed methods for assessing the parameters of Weibull distribution with a view to their applicability in the analysis of interval data.
