ANALYSIS OF CHARACTERISTICS OF THE RECHARGEABLE DEVICES
Keywords:
batteries, electrochemical processes, nickel-cadmium, nickel metal-hydride, lithium-ion, lithium-polymer, lead batteries, traction batteriesAbstract
In the article are analyzed and presented various advanced technologies used in the construction of traction batteries and devices suitable for electric drives. The main design features of the most common types of batteries: nickel-cadmium, nickel metal-hydride, lithium-ion, lithium-polymer and lead batteries are reviewed. Also materials from which are built battery cells and electrochemical processes occurring during charging and discharging of the battery cells are discussed. For each particular type of technology are given the typical parameters as the main advantages and disadvantages.
